ReplyDeleteFlorence Kilborn was the daughter of Hannah Vandenberg Kilborn and, thus, the sister of my husband's Great-Grandmother Hannah Kilborn Healey.
My husband's Grandmother was Florence Healey Kamp; she was named Florence in honor of her deceased aunt Florence Kilborn for whom Florence, Nebraska was named.
My husband's mother -- who was the daughter of Florence Healey Kamp -- told me that Florence Kilborn died at about the age of 15.
I have enjoyed reading the Web pages about Historic Florence, and thank you for the photo you posted of Florence. I had not seen that until now. I do have an oil painting of Florence Kilborn that has been added down in the family since Florence was a young teenager.
