Mormon Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters

Come and visit the Mormon Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters and the Mormon Pioneer Cemetery. These are two great sites that attract thousands of visitors each year. The visitor center chronicles the Winter Quarters story of 1846-1847.


The Mormon Mormon Pioneer Cemetery is hallowed ground where 325 Saints, who died during the winter of 1846, are laid to rest.


Please visit both of these sites and learn about the Saints and their journeys across America.

The Florence Mill

The Florence, Nebraska Mill, built in 1846 by Latter Day Saints pioneers, is located at 9102 North 30th Street. It has been restored by Mrs. Linda Meigs and serves as museum and art loft. Florence Mill is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a destination you should not miss.
